Best File Types for Etsy Digital Products
Include the wrong formats and you get refund requests; include the right ones and your listing looks professional. Here is the cheat sheet.
SVG — for cut files
The standard for Cricut and Silhouette. Scales infinitely without quality loss and recolors cleanly. Always include SVG for any "cut file" listing.
PNG — for sublimation & print
Use high-resolution PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI. For sublimation, 300 DPI at the final print size keeps edges crisp.
PDF — for printables
For wall art, planners and invitations, PDF preserves exact dimensions for home and print-shop printing. Include common sizes (e.g. 8×10, 11×14, A4).
